The first trailer for 'A Complete Unknown' stars Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan in the much-anticipated biopic. The film covers Dylan's early years in New York City and initial rise to fame in the 1960s.
"Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s, 'A Complete Unknown' follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan's meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965," reads an official synopsis for the movie.
The cast also includes Monica Barbaro as Dylan collaborator Joan Baez, who also had a tumultuous relationship with the singer; Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, based on an artist who dated Dylan in the early ’60s; plus Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.
'A Complete Unknown', directed by James Mangold, hits theaters in December.
